This development will be reviewed pursuant to Sections 12(i)and 13(b)of the Cape Cod Commission Act and pursuant to the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act("MEPA' G.L.c.3o,secs.61,62-62H)for joint review by the Commission and State Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs,MEPA Unit. The purpose of this hearing/scoping session will be to hear comments on the Expanded Environmental Notification Form(EENF)and gather information for the joint Commission Development of Regional Impact (DRI)/MEPA review. This notice is being published as required by Section 5 of the Cape Cod Commission Act and MEPA regulations. Project Name: Harwich Comprehensive Wastewater Management Plan Project Applicant: Town of Harwich Project Location: Town-wide in Harwich,MA Project Description: The project proposes a town-wide wastewater collection and treatment system,with work located throughout the Town. The Town is recommending a traditional wastewater program that includes: approximately 92 miles of sewer pipes, 3o pumping stations and two centralized treatment facilities. Each of these components will be phased over 4o years. For this program,the treatment will occur at the existing facility in Chatham and a new facility in Harwich. Anyone wishing to testify orally will be welcome to do so. Written comments may also be submitted at the hearing,or delivered or mailed to the Cape Cod Commission,P.O.Box 226,3225 Main Street,Barnstable,MA 02630 for receipt on or before the date of the hearing. The EENF documents may be viewed at the C(mmission office between the hours of 8:3o a.m.and 4:3o p.m.by calling(508)362-3828 to schedule an appointment.
