City of Jefferson Code Review Steering Committee
January 25, 2018

1. Call to Order
Vice Chair Randy Allen called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m.
2. Approval of previous meeting minutes from November 30, 2017.
The meeting minutes were approved.
3. Public Comments
none
4. Old Business – Continue process review of Building Regulations – ISO Review
Discussion was held on project tracking, permit fees and ISO review. The new Plan Examiner position
should be able to keep better track of projects and report on their status. With permit fees, that
discussion was deferred to be a City Council decision. As for the ISO review, no action was taken on it
and should be reviewed again in a year to see if progress was made.
5. New Business – has the committee met the City Council resolution directive?
The committee has met the main objective of recommending code updates and would like to meet
again in July to see if there were significant changes in the 2018 code version. They would then make a
recommendation for the 2018 code review. As for the Building Regulations process review, it was
deferred to City staff to refine.
6. Next Meeting Date? ~ February 22nd or “Adjourn Sine Die?”
The next meeting will be from 11:30 am to 1pm on Thursday July 26, 2018. The Chamber would
sponsor a lunch for the meeting.
