HomeMy Public PortalAbout060-2002 - 2002 Budget Amendment - Fire/Police Salary Ordinance ORDINANCE NO- 60- 2002 AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE TO BE KNOWN AS THE 2003 FIREFIGHTER AND POLICE OFFICER SALARY ORDINANCE WHEREAS, Indiana Code 36-8-3-3(d) requires Common Council to fix the annual compensation of all police officers and firefighters; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond Board of Public Works and Safety and John Hennigar Lodge No. 63 of the Fraternal Order of Police have reached a previous agreement which includes salary levels for 2003; and WHEREAS, the City of Richmond and the Richmond Professional Firefighters, Inc. Local 1408 have reached a previous agreement which includes salary levels for 2003. NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, that the following positions be compensated not in excess of the respective sums hereafter set forth during calendar year 2003, to wit: Section 1 - Police Department Position Current Salary 2003 Salary 2003 Bi-Weekly Salary 1.01 Captain 40,110.00 42,717.00 1,642.96 1.02 Lieutenant 38,948.00 41,479.00 1,595.35 1.03 Sergeant 37,785.00 40,240.00 1,547.69 1.04 Investigator 36,041.00 38,383.00 1,476.27 1.05 Patrolman 34,297.00 36,526.00 1,319.12 1.06 Additional Compensation. In addition to the bi-weekly salaries set forth in Sections 1.01 through 1.05 above, all benefits agreed upon in the agreement dated September 11, 2000 between the Board of Public Works and Safety on behalf of the City of Richmond, Indiana and John Hennigar Lodge No. 63 of the Fraternal Order of Police are hereby incorporated by reference. In addition to the bi-weekly salaries set forth in Sections 2.01 through 2.05 above, all benefits agreed upon in the Professional Negotiation Agreement dated December 21, 2000 between the Board of Public Works and Safety on behalf of the City of Richmond, Indiana and the Richmond Professional Firefighters, Inc. Local 1408 are hereby incorporated by reference.
