June 25, 1960
The Council of al Harbour Village held ifs regular
meeting on Saturday, June 25, 1960 at the "illage Hall.
Present were r'es,rs. Beatty, Rroeman, Faulkner and Hart.
Absent: Mr.lMhit.e.
Also present were H. Webb, Villa-e Manager; Mary T.
Pletterer, Village Clerk and Thomas Anderson, Village Attorney.
Upon motion of Mr. Froeman, seconde'. by Mr. Faulkner, the
minutes of the previous meeting of May 2°, 1960 were approved
as submitted.
Resolution No. 72, setting forth the interest rate and
duration of the liens for the beach nourishment program, was
read by Mr. Webb. During the discussion that followed Mr.
Broeman said that he still objected to the three year period
for the liens but upon clarification by Mr. Anderson on motion
of Mr. Faulkner, seconded by Mr. hroeman, the Resolution was
unanimously approved.
The Village Manager reported that he had completed the
arrangements with the Florida Power and light Mompany which
had beer discussesl a4 the r r'.ary 27th 'Muesli meeting for
construction of a transformer vault and that we would pay
$2,000.00 toward the installation which would be deducted
from the franchise fee due us this year. Mr. Anderson explain—
ed that it was permissible to draw from this check inasmuch
as the balance remaining would cover the terms of the Skater
Revenue Certificates. It was then moved by Mr. Rroeman,
seconded by Mr. Faulkner and unanimously voted that the council
approve the action of sir. V.ebb.
Mr. Webf told the council that Mr. Anderson had prepared
the Ordinance for the Police Pension Fond in compliance with
State Statutes and after discussion, on motion of Mr.. Rroeman,
seconded by Mr. Faulkner, Ordinance No. 77 entitled:

was unanimously adopted.
Mr. Beatty asked about the construction of the apartment on
Tract "e" of the Ocean Front and Mr. 'Webb told the council that
he had received calls from numerous contractors who were biddin-1
the job and in the meantime the temporary building had been
moved to the lot as Mr. Taplin had a7reed.

It was moved by Mr. Beatty, seconded by Mr. Broeman,
that the Board of Equalization me t.ing and regular July council
meeting would be held at 9:00 o'clock A.M., on Monday, July 11, 1960.
There being no further business before the meeting, on
motion of Mr. Beatty seconded by Mr. Faulkner, the meeting was
adjourned.

The Council of Ba1 Harbour Village met at 9:00 A.M.
July 11, 1960 at the Village Hall.
There were present Messrs. Hart, Faulkner, White and Beatty.
Absent: Mr. Broeman
Also present were W. H. Webb, Village Manager; and Mary T.
Wetterer, Village Clerk.
After the Ro11 Call, the Council convened as a Board of
Equalization for the 1960 Tax Roll. Mr. Webb announcedto the
Council that there were no complainants to he heard and that the
Tax Roll could be accepted as presented. This was seconded by
Mr. Faulkner and unanimously passed. Mr. White then moved that
the Board of Equalization be adjourned. Mr. Faulkner seconded this
motion and it was unanimously approved. The Council then re —convened
to consider the business of the regular meeting.
The minutes of the meeting of June 25th were accepted as
submitted upon motion of Mr. Beatty and seconded by Mr. White.
The nine month audit was presented to the Council for con—
sideration. After discussion, said audit was accepted upon motion
of Mr. White, seconded by Mr. Beatty and unanimously approved.
The next item for consideration was the 1960-61 budget. Mr.
Webb explained that the increases over last year were due to increases
in contractural services and additional personnel. After a brief
discussion, Mr. White moved that the Council adopt Resolution No. 73
approving the budget; Resolution No. 74 adopting the Water budget;
and Resolution No. ';'5 setting a tax levy for 1960 of 8 mills. Said
motion was seconded by Mr. Beatty and unanimously approved.
