5, 1969 at 7:35 P. M.

The minutes of the regular meeting of July 1, 1969 read. Moved by Harold
Winterhalter to approve the minutes as read. ,

The minutes of the special meeting of July 8, 1969 read. Moved by Rayburn
Anderson to approve the minutes as read.

The minutes of the Planning Commission meeting of July 21, 1969 read.
Mrs. Bechtold and Miss Brede and neighbors appeared with regard to the stench
on the Lake shore. They also asked about a culvert and the size of a building.
They were referred to Leo Leuer and Russel Bouley with regard to these matters.
The petition of John Dykhoff for water was presented. Moved by Harold Winter -
halter to accept and act on the petition for water.

Motion carried.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to pay the dues in the amount of $241.00 to the
Minnesota League of Municipalities for the year beginning September 1, 1969.

Moved by Rayburn Anderson that we acdept the letter from the Northwestern
Bell Telephone Company and authorize the cables as per the sketch of Tally -Ho.

A letter from the Federal Water Pollution Control Administration stating
that Parts A and B regarding our sewage treatment works project have been
found to be sOisfacdabry.was read.
A report with regard to the condition of Wolsfeld Lake for swimming from
the Minnesota Department of Health was read.
A letter with regard to uniform prianincttCeucus Day, February 24, 1970,
from the League of Women Voters of Minnesota was read.
A letter from C. O. Dorweiler was read to the effect that they have furnished
a new Scout Resucitator for the patrol car, ryes mead.
A letter from the Hennepin County League of Municipalities stating that
the next meeting will be September 4th at the Ambassador Motel was read.

Mr. William D. Moore was interviewed for the position of part time police
officer. Moved by Raymond Bosch to hire Williah D. Moore as a part time
polio officer of Medina as of this date.

A letter from the Farmers State Bank of Hamel advised that the interest rates
on warrants will be 7%.
Notice from the County Auditor stating that from now on^special assessment
payments no prepayments will be accepted after of November 15th.was regd.
Moved by Raymond Bosch to grant Neil J. Shoars a cigarette license for the
Rolling Green Country Club.

Moved by Raymond Bosch for the adoption of the Medina ordinance regulating
the use of public sidewalks, pUblicestreets and other public ways.

Moved by Raymond Bosch that we authorize the Village Attorney to contact the
Hennepin County Reserve District with respect to an amendment to our police
contract, retroactive to May 6, 1969 for the purpose of reimbursing the
Village of Medina all costs pertaining to arrest and confinement of all
violators of ordinances prxlimmtalmal perpetrated in the boundaries of Baker Park.

days from August 1st to October 1st.

Moved y Rayb on that we ask Hennepin County that we want to use

base for black topping.

Moved by Raymond Bosch to authorize Wiiliam Mills, the Village Engineer, to
contact Minn-nta with regard to liquidatdd damages.

Bob Mann reported all the sewer lines are installed, most of the sewer is
acceptable; one water main needs one repair; wader seems good.
The Council will meet unofficially with Mills and Gubbins with regard to a
assessment hearing, on September 8th at 8 P. M.
Moved by Harold Winterhalter to have the public hearing for the assessments
for the sewer and water project on September 16, 1969 at 7 P. M. 0
Medina Ballroom.

Moved by Harold Winterhalter to pay the bills as follows: payroll in the
amount of $3,031.03 and order checks in the amount of $91,459.06.

Moved by Harold Winterhalter to adopt the ordinance relating to the Regulation" —
of Municipal sewer and water systems within the Village of Medina as corrected.

Leo Leuer gave a detailed report on the road conditions.
Moved by Rayburn Anderson that we have the Village Attorney applied for
FCC radar license.
