Special Work Session
Minutes
February 21, 2019 6:30 P.M. Greencastle City Hall
I. Call to Order; Roll Call
II. Mayor William Dory called the work session to order at 6:30 PM; upon roll by
Clerk-Treasurer Lynda Dunbar the following were present: Adam Cohen, Stacie
Langdon, Steve Fields, Tyler Wade, Gary Lemon and Dave Murray, Mark
Hammer was absent. Laurie Hardwick and Scott Zimmerman were also
attending the meeting.
Ill. Work Session with DePauw University on Campus Projects and Closure of
College Avenue-Warren Whitesell and Jennifer Lasch were the representatives
from the university presenting the campus projects and presenting the need for
the closure of College Avenue. The council was given the opportunity to ask
questions. Some discussion points were as follows:
• Parking issues before, during and after construction of new dorms
• Stormwater Improvements
• Fire trucks and police ability to access dorms
• Street Closures during construction
• Steps in making this all happen
• Need for the closure of College Avenue
This was strictly an informational meeting — No action taken
IV. Adjournment- Motion by Gary Lemon to adjourn at 8:42 pm, second by Adam
Cohen, 6-0, motion carried.
