Home My Public Portal About2018-07-26 minutes1 MINUTES OF THE BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING JULY 26, 2018 CALL TO ORDER The Budget Committee Meeting of July 26, 2018 was convened at 5:30 P.M. by Councilman Rick Prather, Finance Committee Chairman. ROLL CALL The f ollowing Council Members were present when the meeting convened: Present: Graham, Hensley, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather, Schreiber, Ward, and Wiseman Absent: Fitzwater A quorum was present. FY2019 PROPOSED BUDGET HIGHLIGHTS Chairman Prather turned the floor over to Finance and I.T. Director Margie Mueller who went over the proposed budget highlights. FIVE-YEAR FINANCIAL PLAN Ms. Mueller presented the five-year forecast. She and City Administrator Steve Crowell answered questions on various items presented. COMMITTEE DISCUSSION OF BUDGET The following departments / divisions were presented by staff: Mayor and City Council – Mr. Crowell presented the Mayor and City Council portions of the budget. There were no questions asked. City Clerk – Mr. Crowell presented the City Clerk’s budget and performance measures. City Clerk, Emily Donaldson presented the on -line codification line item of the City Clerk’s budget. There were no questions asked. City Administrator – Mr. Crowell presented his department’s budget. No questions were asked. Law – City Counselor Ryan Moehlman presented the Law Department’s requested budget. There were no questions asked. Finance – Director Margie Mueller presented her department’s budget. No questions were asked. 2 MINUTES OF THE BUDGET COMMITTEE MEETING JULY 26, 2018 Non-Departmental – Ms. Mueller and Mr. Crowell presented the budget for the Non-Departmental fund and answered questions. I.T. Department – Ms. Mueller presented the I.T. budget. No questions were asked. No actions were taken by the Committee at this time. ADJOURNMENT A motion to adjourn was made by Councilwoman W iseman, seconded by Councilman Graham, and approved unanimously at 6:30 P.M.
