RESOLUTION NO . 95-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY~APPROVING A
HOME CONTRACT AND ADMINISTRATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE
LYNWOOD REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND THE CITY OF LYNWOOD
PURSUANT TO TITLE 24 CFR, PART 92, TO CARRY OUT CERTAIN HOUSING
RELATED ACTIVITIES PURSUANT TO HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT
REGULATIONS AND TO COMMIT THE CITY OF LYNWOOD 1993 HOME
INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP ALLOCATION AND 1994 HOME INVESTMENT
PARTNERSHIP ALLOCATION
WHEREAS, The City of Lynwood has received $376,000.00 in HOME Investment
Partnership allocation for Fiscal Year 1993 and $444,000 in HOME Investment Partnership
allocation for Fiscal Year 1994 from the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development
to carry out certain eligible activities in accordance with federal program requirements at 24 CFR
92; and
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is required to commit the 1993 HOME Fund allocation
to a project or contract with a subrecipient by May 30,1995 , in accordance with HUD guidelines;
and
WHEREAS, The City proposes to enter into a HOME Contract and Administration
Agreement with the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency , a qualified subrecipient, to assist the City
in carrying out the HOME requirements of providing affordable housing opportunities to low and
very low income residents ;and
WHEREAS, The City proposes to commit 1993 and 1994 HOME Investment Partnership
Moines to the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency pursuant to the agreement and within the HUD
HOME guidelines ;and
NOW, THEREFORE the Redevelopment Agency does hereby resolve as follows
Section 1. That the Redevelopment Agency approves the HOME Contract and Administration
Agreement with the Lynwood Redevelopment Agency and the City to commits $282,000 of the
1993 Home Investment Partnership Allocation and $334,000 of the 1994 HOME Investment
Partnership Allocation to be used for the develo.nmP„r of affordable units.
Section 2 . This Resolution shall go into effect immediately upon its adoption.
