Re: Assignment of Residential Solid Waste and Recycling
Collection Agreement from Southern Waste Systems to
Waste Management Inc. of Florida
Dear Mr. Brown:
As we discussed, the agreement between Southern Waste Systems, LLC. (SWS) and Waste
Management Inc. of Florida (WMFI) has yet to be finalized, it is anticipated that this will occur
soon. Therefore, the assignment of residential solid waste and recycling collection agreement
from SWS to WMFI that was to occur January 1, 2016, will be delayed until such time the
agreement is finalized. In the meantime, SWS will continue to provide residential solid waste
and recycling collection as stipulated in their contract with the Village.
Once the aforementioned agreement is finalized, we will schedule a meeting with appropriate
staff form the Village, SWS and WMFI to assure a seamless transition. WMFI remains
committed to assuring the highest quality service is provided to Village residents.
