AN ORDINANCE, making an appropriation of One Million Three Hundred Fifty
Thousand Dollars ($1,350,000.00) from the Sanitary Replacement Fund to be used for sanitary
sewer construction in Midland Sanitary Relief (Midland Blvd to Sims Ave) (12352) in the City of
Overland, Missouri; and authorizing the Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer on behalf of
The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22005 with Kolb Grading,
LLC for sanitary sewer construction.
WHEREAS, the bid for said sanitary sewer construction is One Million Fifty-Eight
Thousand Dollars ($1,058,000.00) and the allowance for construction change orders and other
project expenses is Two Hundred Ninety-Two Thousand Dollars ($292,000.00); and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance has certified that there is an unencumbered
balance in the above-named fund sufficient to pay the obligation authorized herein.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF
THE METROPOLITAN ST. LOUIS SEWER DISTRICT:
Section One. The sum of One Million Three Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
($1,350,000.00) is hereby appropriated from the Sanitary Replacement Fund for sanitary sewer
construction in Midland Sanitary Relief (Midland Blvd to Sims Ave) (12352) in the City of
Overland, Missouri; said contract being comprised of such terms and conditions as have been
approved by the Office of the General Counsel of the District.
Section Two. The Executive Director and Secretary-Treasurer are hereby
authorized on behalf of The Metropolitan St. Louis Sewer District to enter into Contract No. 22005
with Kolb Grading, LLC, as the lowest responsible bidder for sanitary sewer construction in
Midland Sanitary Relief (Midland Blvd to Sims Ave) (12352) in the City of Overland, Missouri,
pursuant to bids received on the 22nd day of January, 2021.
Section Three. This ordinance, being an appropriation ordinance, shall take effect
immediately upon its enactment.
The foregoing Ordinance was adopted on March 11, 2021.
