Karen Mennenga presented the Library Report. The library received a 5 Star Library Award.
Kendall Abbas and Tyler Duhn presented the Fire Department report. They demonstrated a Stryker
Stair Chair. Minteer moved to approve the $3500.00 purchase of a Stryker Stair Chair using funds from the
Ambulance Equipment Fund. Hippen seconded the motion. All ayes, carried.
Jamie Madden presented the Public Works Report.
Minteer moved to purchase a used truck blade for $900.00. Eilderts seconded the motion. All ayes,
carried.
Hippen moved to purchase 10 new water meters from Brown Supply. Minteer seconded the motion.
All ayes, carried.
Minteer moved to approve a $1.00 per hour pay increase for Jamie Madden as he completed his CPO
Training and now has CDL License. Eilderts seconded the motion. All ayes, carried.
Evie Haupt presented information regarding the Community Catalyst Building Remediation grant.
Grant has been postponed until 2019.
After discussing the Facility Plan for the Waste Water Treatment Plant the council has requested that
the engineer be present at the next meeting to explain the plan and discuss the next steps in the process.
Eilderts moved to approve the use of the Memorial Building basement for an exercise group.
Minteer seconded the motion. All ayes, carried.
Minteer moved to adjourn. Eiten seconded the motion. All ayes, carried.
