Jefferson City Council Committee on Administration
Wednesday, August 1, 2018

Boone Bancroft Conference Room
ATTENDEES:
Committee members present: Laura Ward, Erin Wiseman, Rick Prather, Jon Hensley.
Staff present: Gail Strope, Steve Crowell and Ryan Moehlman.
Others Present: Nicole Roberts with News Tribune.
Meeting came to order at 7:34 p.m. by Councilwoman Erin Wiseman. The July 2, 2018 minutes
were approved with a motion by Councilman Jon Hensley and second by Councilwoman Laura
Ward. The motion passed 4-0.
Human Relations Commission Membership:
Presented by Laura Ward. City Counselor, Ryan Moehlman discussed the draft ordinance
changes. Members would like more clarification excluding Historic Preservation Commission,
Transportations and Traffic Commission, Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of
Adjustment from electronic participation. Ryan will bring two options to the committee at the
next meeting.
Naming Process of Municipal Court Room:
Presented by Ryan Moehlman. Ryan wanted to gauge interest of council members in naming the
new municipal court. Members would like to hold off for now.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 8:05 a.m.
The next scheduled meeting will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 in the
Boone/Bancroft room at City Hall.
