Special meeting -
Council met in special session, Mayor Ross presiding
and all. COUNCILMEN present.
Matter of Rxm well equiptment was again considered, and
the matter of purshaseing a Turbine Pump.
Mr.Clemons of the Fairbanks -Morse Company was present,
and again went into the merits of his particular
Turbine Water Lubricated Pump.
It was moved by Okones second by Haack that the Mayor
and Clerk enter into agreenert with the Fairbanks- Morse Company
to furnish the Town with their Turbine Pump at a cost of
Nineteen Hundred Ftifty Four Dollars ($1954.00) as per
specifications submitted same being a 6 inchUAIIP, and to
be paid to Hoeg & Ames the local agents for t is pump.
Motion carried.
There being no other business council adjourned.

January 6 1941
Regular Meeting; -
Council met in regular session, Mayor Ross presiding
and Okones, Luwe, Haack and Kruse present.
Minutes of all January meetings were read and on motion
by Luwe second by Haack same were approved as read.
It was moved by Luwe second by Okone,; that the Town buy
200 feet of fire hose, and that the Clerk get quotations on
same, same to be purchased by the Purchaseing committee.
Motion carried.
Mayor Ross reports that the connections from the new well
to the regular water mains and to the Tank proper have been
completed.
Treasurers report was read and placed on file.
It was moved by Kruse second by Haack that the Clerk
order new Hydrant repaidrg,for Hydrant damaged by Eldon Huisman.
It was moved by Okones that Hydrant broken off be repaired
temporarily. motion carried.
It was moved by Kruse second by Okones that Mayor Ross
be a delegate to the meeting of the Le,islative Committee at
Des Moines , for Jan 2`� and 23rd.. mNion carried.
It was moved and seconded that we pay 812axRO.00 per hour
for Dump trucks used it removing snow. motion carried.

Jan 31 1941.
Special Meeting of the Town Council;
A special meeting was called by the Mayor for the
purpose of considering the passing of a Resolution
for Poll taxes for the year 1941.
Mayor Ross presiding and councilmen Kruse, Luwe and
Lindaman present.
The following Resolution was read and moves' for adoption
by councilman H L Luwe , second by Lin(lazpan.
" Be it resolved by the Counciil of the Torn of Wellsburg
that;- All able bodied male residents of the Town of W ellbsurg
Iowa; between the age of twenty One (21) years and Forty-five
(45) years of age inclusive, shall between the first day of
February and the first day of October in the year 1941, pay
the sum of Three Dollars ($y.00) to the Town Clerk, as a
Poll tax for the year 1941.
