AN APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL,
ACCEPTANCE, AND APPROPRIATION OF A GRANT FROM
THE CORPORATION FOR NATIONAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, the Corporation for National Services has grant funding available; and
WHEREAS, the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) desires to submit a grant application to assist with operating expenses for 2003; and
WHEREAS, a local match of Twelve Thousand Three Hundred Thirty-one Dollars ($12,331.00) is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it ordained by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana, as follows:
1. The RSVP is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the Corporation for National Services to assist with operating expenses for 2003.
2. The RSVP is authorized to accept said grant funding in an amount up to Thirty-Six Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Dollars ($36,760.00).
3. Said funds, if awarded to the RSVP, shall be appropriated to assist wit
h operating expenses for 2003.
Passed and adopted this 5th day of August, 2002, by the Common Council of the City of Richmond, Indiana.
