At the pre -proposal conference for this project, held on 7116197, it was stated that the existing Geotechnical information may be Inadequate, and that the Village will pay direct cost for any additional geotechnical investigation that is related to the design of the bridge, pending approval of the cost by the Village. We have reviewed the available geotechnical information, and based on our preliminary pile length calculations, have determined that additional testing is required. We need a minimum of one SPT'on either side of the bridge to a depth of 50 feet in order to properly design the piles.
