HomeMy Public PortalAbout2022-19 Resolution to Approve Revisions to Signatories for the Citys Various Bank AccountsRESOLUTION 2022-19 A RESOLUTION TO APPROVE REVISIONS TO SIGNATORIES FOR THE CITY'S VARIOUS BANK ACCOUNTS WHEREAS, The City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a Municipal Corporation, organized and operating under the laws of the State of Iowa, and; WHEREAS, on December 31, 2021, Mike Bawden's term as Mayor with the City ended, and; WHEREAS, on January 1, 2022, Anthony Heddlesten's term as Mayor began, and; WHEREAS, on February 8, Councilperson and Mayor Pro-Tem Kelly Krell resigned from these positions, and; WHEREAS, in November 2021, Katie Enloe ended her employment as Deputy Clerk with the City, and; WHEREAS, on February 22, 2022, Kelly Krell began employment with the City as its Deputy Clerk, and; WHEREAS, on March 8, 2022, Councilperson Kevin Adams was named Mayor Pro-Tem, and; WHEREAS, the City's checking account and certificate of deposit with Quad City Bank & Trust and other financial instruments requiring signatories currently reflect Mike Bawden and Katie Enloe as signatories on those accounts and instruments, and; WHEREAS, the financial institutions used by the City require two authorized signatures on checks and other documents related to the renewal or liquidation of certificates of deposit, and; WHEREAS, no actual monetary expenses will be incurred by this action. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE, IOWA, THAT: Section 1: City Council authorizes and directs staff to coordinate the removal of Mike Bawden and Katie Enloe as signatories on the City's checking and certificate of deposit accounts with Quad City Bank & Trust, along with other financial instruments. Section2: City Council authorizes and directs staff to coordinate the addition of Anthony Heddlesten, Kelly Krell, and Kevin Adams to serve as signatories on the City's checking and certificate of deposit accounts at Quad City Bank & Trust, along with other financial instruments, with the authority to sign the required documents provided by the City's financial institutions to fulfill those responsibilities.
