BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
TUESDAY, JANUARY 22, 2013 AT 7:00PM
TOWN HALL, ROOM B
Present: Joanne Hughes, Chairman, Lemuel Skidmore, Vice Chairman, Keith Johnson, Annie Sherwood,
Nancy Ellis Ice, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Department Assistant.
1. Notice of Appeal re: Civil Action No. 2012-253
This was deferred due to pending litigation.
2. Brian Baumgaertel-update on monitoring of I/A systems
BB gave a power point presentation of the monitoring that is done by the County and spoke about a new
program that they would like to start which would monitoring all septic systems that are installed.
BB will work with NI to come up with a regulation for this new program.
3. Leaching Facility Setback regulation discussion
There were a few corrections made.
Motion: LS-approve regulation with corrections made. KJ seconded. 4 yes.
4. Outdoor Café regulation discussion
Changes were made. TM will make the changes to the regulation and will bring back to the Board.
5. Fuel Storage Tank regulation discussion
Changes were made. TM will make the changes to the regulation and bring back to the Board.
6. Health Director's mid-year review
NI went over her objectives with the Board. JH will do the mid-year review.
7. Planning Board application for Brewster Pizza
NI explained to the Board that the Health Department is all set with what they are doing. Seats and the
septic system are not a problem for what they are proposing.
8. Minutes from 12/18/12 meeting
Motion: AS-approve minutes as written. KJ seconded. 4 yes.
9. Minutes from 1/18/13 meeting
A few minor changes were made.
Motion: KJ-approve with corrections. LS seconded. 4 yes.
