2008 -02, Zone Change No. 2008 -01, Tentative Parcel Map No. 2008 -02 and Negative
Declaration, and has determined that a C -2 (Light Commercial) zoning designation for the
subject property would be consistent with the Lynwood General Plan and would be an
appropriate zone for the location and development; and
WHEREAS, on May 28, 2008 the Site Plan Review Committee recommended
approval of the project to develop a 15,900 square foot project subject to Conditional Use
Permit No. 2008 -05, Variance No. 2008 -02, Zone Change No. 2008 -01, Tentative Parcel

performed, conditions were incorporated, and a Negative Declaration was prepared
pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) guidelines.
Section 1. The Lynwood City Council hereby finds and determines as follows:
A. A C -2 (Light Commercial) zoning designation of the subject property would
be consistent with the Lynwood General Plan Land Use Map.
B. The C -2 (Light Commercial) zoning designation is consistent with existing
developments in the vicinity.
C. The C -2 (Light Commercial) zoning will be consistent with goals and policies
set forth in the Lynwood General Plan Land Use, and Economic
Development Elements.
D. The C -2 (Light Commercial) zoning designation will not be detrimental to
the properties surrounding the site and would not negatively impact the
public health, safety, or welfare or properties in the vicinity.
E. The Zoning Code, Chapter 25 of Lynwood Municipal Code does not allow
commercial buildings in the P -1 zone and the C -2 zoning designation would
be consistent with the other parcels and consistent with the General Plan.
F. The Negative Declaration was noticed as required by California
Environmental Quality Act (CEQA)
Section 2. The Lynwood City Council based upon the aforementioned findings
and determinations, hereby approves Zone Change No. 2008 -02 changing the zoning
