AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT NO.
2007 -01 AMENDING APPENDIX "A" IN CHAPTER 25 (ZONING) OF
LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE, REGULATION OF USES BY
ZONING DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, on May 1, 2007 the Lynwood City Council conducted a duly
noticed public hearing on Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2007 -01; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council considered all public oral and written
communication at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, on April 10, 2007 the Lynwood Planning Commission approved
Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2007 -01 recommending that the City Council
adopt an ordinance amending Appendix "A "; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has determined that the Lynwood
Municipal Code, Appendix "A" should be updated to address technology, laws,
public opinion and impacts on adjacent properties; and
WHERAS, the Lynwood City Council has determined that the proposed
amendments would categorize specific land uses in appropriate zones and set forth
appropriate zoning entitlements for such uses; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has determined that the zoning
ordinance amendment would be in the best interests of the Lynwood residents and
would protect the public health, safety and general welfare.
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and
determines as follows:
A. That the amendments to Appendix "A" will further the goals and
policies set forth in the Lynwood General Plan Land Use Element.
B. That the amendments to Appendix "A" will protect the public, health,
safety and general welfare.
C. That the amendments to Appendix "A" will ensure; that land uses are
designated in appropriate zoning districts; and
D. That the amendments to Appendix "A" will require appropriate and fair
zoning entitlements for specified land uses; and
E. That the zoning ordinance amendment is categorically exempt from the
provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) as
amended pursuant to Section 15308
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby approves
Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 2007 -01, an ordinance to amend Appendix "A ",
Section 25 (Zoning) of the Lynwood Municipal Code as set in the attached amended
Appendix "A ".
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the passage and
adoption of this Ordinance and cause it to be published or posted as required by
law.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 1 st day of May,
2007 and adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said City Council
on the 15th day of May, 2007.

APPENDIX A
REGULATION OF USES BY ZONING DISTRICT
The following matrix provides a listing of land uses which are permitted by right, subject to
Conditional Use Permit review, subject to temporary use permit review, permitted as an
accessory use, and prohibited within each of the City's zoning districts. The following
symbols are used to describe the relationship of the listed uses to each zoning district:
"P" The use is permitted by right.
"S" The use requires Site Plan Review Approval.
"C" The use requires a Conditional Use Permit.
"A" The use is permitted as an accessory use only, subject to specific
conditions outlined in the Development Code.
"T" The use is permitted only as a temporary use, subject to the specific
conditions contained in Chapter 25.155
Uses not shown as Permitted, Conditionally Permitted, Site Plan Approval,
Accessory, or Temporary are prohibited in the zoning district.
If a proposed use is not listed in the following table, the Director of Development
Services shall make a determination of which listed use most closely corresponds, or
