Dan Speakman-variance request for Camp Mitton-42 Featherbed Lane Joanne Fay from Crossroads for Kids was present as well as Dan Speakman, designer of septic plan. The system is in failure and they are installing a new Title 5 system. In the proposed location it would only be 62'from the pond. The requested variance is to allow the SAS to be less than 300'from pond (a 238'variance is requested) Motion: MC-finding that the new system will provide significantly better treatment, approve the Variance request with ESA conditions applying. KJ seconded. 4 yes. 2. J.M. O'Reilly-variance request for 1595 Main Street J.M. O'Reilly asked that this request be postponed until the May 14, 2013 meeting. 3. CSN Engineering-variance request for 45 Candlestick Way Linda Pinto, Engineer was present. This is an upgrade. They have not gone to Conservation yet, it is on the agenda for tonight's meeting. The variance request is to allow the SAS to be 81 feet from pond. NI stated that in looking at the plan, there really is nowhere else to put the system. Motion: KJ-grant with ESA conditions applying. This approval is contingent on Conservation Commission approval. AS seconded. 4 yes. 4. John Our-variance request for 286 Landing Drive This is an existing septic system that was inspected for an addition and found to be only 200'from a pond. Motion: AS-grant variance. MC seconded. 4 yes. 5. John O'Riordan-discussion on 566 Lower Road John O'Riordan spoke to the Board about a septic inspection that was done on his septic system. The inspection failed. He believes that the system was not put in correctly 20+ years ago and is challenging the Health Director's decision that it is a failed system. NI stated that the Board of Health at that time granted a variance to the groundwater. There was discussion on this issue with Mr. O'Riordan.
