BOARD OF HEALTH MEETING
TUESDAY, APRIL 23, 2013 AT 7:00PM
TOWN HALL
Present: Joanne Hughes, Chairman, Lemuel Skidmore, MS, MPH, Vice Chairman; Keith Johnson, Nancy Ellis
Ice, MPH, CHO, RS, Health Director and Tammi Mason, Senior Department Assistant.
1. Ocean Edge-Food Establishment Permit application
This is going to be a seasonal mobile trailer that will be hooked up to the septic at the Arbor Pool. It will only
be open to Ocean Edge guests. NI told them that their seat count was too high for what the septic is rated for
They will have to take away 8 seats and bring the total to 50. She also let them know that the septic system
must be inspected prior to any permit being issued. LS read the Assistant Health Director's memo with the
recommendations.
Ocean Edge will submit a new plan showing only 50 seats.
Motion: LS-grant permit contingent on them meeting all the recommendations and having an
inspection. KJ seconded. 3 yes.
2. Victoria Petrowski-59 Thomegan Road-request for temporary mobile home on property
This request came about because of an explosion at the house the will require rebuilding the house. It may
take up to 6 months to rebuild. They would like to be able to move a mobile home onto the property and hook
up to the existing septic.
Motion: KJ-allow homeowner to hook mobile home to existing septic system for 6 months. LS
seconded. 3 yes.
3. Discuss DEP permit for Kings Landing
NI told the Board that the permit looks fine.
Noted.
4. Discuss Private Well Regulations
There were minor grammatical changes made.

5. Discuss Real Estate Transfer Regulation \. -
Noted. No changes at this time. \k■
