A RESOLUTION APPROVING A LAWNCARE CONTRACT WITH
S&R LAWNCARE & SNOW REMOVAL FOR MOWING SEASONS
2022, 2023, AND 2024
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and
operating under the laws of the State of Iowa, and;
WHEREAS, the City published a Request for Proposals for mowing, trimming, spraying, and
general maintenance of City lawns and multi -use trails throughout the City that was due no later
than March 15, 2022, and;
WHEREAS, the City received several proposals from said solicitation, and;
WHEREAS, the City Administrator has reviewed all submitted proposals and recommends a
contract with S&R Lawncare & Snow Removal, and;
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that the proposal from S&R Lawncare & Snow Removal
in the amount of $24,000 per year, with a three-year contract including mowing seasons 2022,
2023, and 2024, is an acceptable proposal from a qualified contractor, and;
WHEREAS, the funding sources for this service are line items 001-420-6320 Parks - Mowing Contract and
001-650-6310 City Hall - Building Maintenance/Repair, distributed accordingly.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE,
IOWA, THAT the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the proposal and enter into a
contact for mowing, trimming, spraying, and general maintenance of City lawns and multi -use
trails throughout the City with S&R Lawncare & Snow Removal in the amount of $24,000 per
year for mowing seasons 2022, 2023, and 2024, billed to line items 007-420-6320 Parks - Mowing
Contract and 001-650-6310 City Hall - Building Maintenance/Repair accordingly.
