RESOLUTION NO. 2022-27
A RESOLUTION APPROVING A CONTRACT WITH OAKLAND
CORPORATION FOR LASERFICHE SUPPORT
WHEREAS, the City of Riverdale, Iowa ("City") is a municipal corporation, organized and
operating under the laws of the State of Iowa, and;
WHEREAS, the City utilizes Laserfiche for permanent archival document storage, and;
WHEREAS, the City currently contracts for Laserfiche support with Gordon Flesch Company,
and;
WHEREAS, Oakland Corporation has proposed to assume the current Gordon Flesch contract,
honoring the current one-year term, at no cost to the City of Riverdale, automatically renewing
in on -year intervals, and;
WHEREAS, Laserfiche indicates that Oakland Corporation assuming the current Gordon Flesch
contract is acceptable, and;
WHEREAS, City staff has met with Oakland Corporation and believes that Oakland Corporation's
customer service team will be responsive to the City's needs, and;
WHEREAS, pricing for future contracts with Oakland Corporation will more cost effective than
the current contract with Gordon Flesch, and;
WHEREAS, the future funding source for this resolution is 001-650-6419 City Call - Computer Expense.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERDALE,
IOWA, THAT the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a one-year contract
with Oakland Corporation at no current cost to the City for the remainder of the current contract
year to provide Laserfiche customer support. Future contract renewals will be funded by line
item 001-650-6419 City Hall - Computer Expense.
