ORDINANCE NO # 1516
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
SECTION 7 -10 OF THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL
CODE RELATING TO PRIMA FACIE SPEED
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does hereby ordain as follows:
SECTION I. SECTION 7 -10 of the Lynwood City Code hereby is amended to
read as follows:
Section 7 -10 Increase or Decrease of Local Speed Limits on Certain Designated
Streets.
It is hereby determined upon the basis of a traffic and engineering survey, that the
prima facie speed permitted by State Law in certain business and residential districts in the City
shall be changed to a speed limit declared to be reasonable and safe and which will be conducive
to the orderly movement of vehicular traffic under the conditions found to exist upon such
streets, and it is hereby declared that the prima facie speed limit shall be as herein set forth on
those streets herein designated when signs are erected giving notice thereof.
1. Abbott Road, Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. To Atlantic Avenue
2. Alameda Street, 103" Street to South City Limits
3. Atlantic Avenue, North City Limits to Fernwood Averne
4. Atlantic Avenue, Fernwood Avenue to South City Limits
5. Bullis Road, Imperial Highway to Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd
6. Bullis Road, Marting Luther King Jr. Blvd. to Platt Avenue
7. Bullis Road, Platt Avenue to South City Limits
