AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYNWOOD APPROVING ZONE CHANGE NO. 2002 -02,
CHANGING THE ZONING DESIGNATION FROM R -3
(MULTIPLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO PRD (PLANNED
RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT), PERTAINING TO
PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF
JOSEPHINE STREET, BETWEEN ATLANTIC AVENUE
AND POPE STREET, ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBERS
6189 - 019 -056 AND 057, CITY OF LYNWOOD,
CALIFORNIA.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Lynwood, pursuant to law, on July 2,
2002, held a public hearing on Zone Change No. 2002 -02; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council carefully considered all pertinent public oral
and written testimony offered at the public hearing; and
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council has determined that PRD (Planned
Residential Development) zoning on this property would be consistent with the goals and
policies of the Lynwood General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Community Development Department has determined that the
proposal will not have a negative effect on the environment, and is exempt from the
California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section 15303(b).
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood hereby finds and determines
as follows:
A. A PRD (Planned Residential Development) rezoning of this property would
be compatible with the Goals and Objectives of the Lynwood General Plan.
B. The subject property is of an acceoptable size, shape and location to
accommodate the proposed level of development.
C. The proposed rezoning will not be detrimental to residential properties in the
area or negatively impact public health, safety and general welfare.
D. The PRD zoning designation is consistent with other development and
compatible with other residential zoning in the immediate area.
Section 2. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the
aforementioned findings and determinations, hereby approves Zone Change No. 2002-
02; changing the zoning designation for this property from R -3 (Multiple Family
Residential) to PRD (Planned Residential Development).
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the passage and
adoption of this Ordinance and to cause it to be published or posted as required by law.

First read at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 2ND day of
JULY , 2002 and adopted and ordered published at a regular meeting of said
Council held on the 16th day of July , 2002.
