Executive Session Meeting Minutes
July 29, 2015
A meeting of the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen was held on Tuesday, July 29, 2015 at Town
Hall, 18 Main Street, Hopkinton, MA. Selectmen present: John Mosher, Todd Cestari, Ben
Palleiko, Brian Herr, Mr. Coutinho. Administrative staff present: Elaine Lazarus, Jamie Hellen.
CALL TO ORDER: Chairman Palleiko called the public meeting to order at 6:35 PM in Room
215/216.
After a two-hour public meeting with the School Committee to discuss the schematic design of
the proposed new Center School, the Chair entertained a motion to enter executive session to
conduct strategy sessions in preparation for negotiations with nonunion personnel relative to the
Town Manager at 8:40PM.
MOVED by Mr. Mosher and SECONDED by Mr. Cestari. ROLL CALL: Mr. Mosher-Yes, Mr.
Cestari-Yes, Mr. Herr-Yes, Mr. Palleiko-Yes, Mr. Coutinho-Yes. VOTE to Approve: Yes-5,
No-0.
DISCUSSION:
The Board discussed the Town Manager’s contract status.
MOVED – Mr. Mosher to enter into negotiations with Town Manager for a new employment
contract SECONDED – Mr. Cestari ROLL CALL: Mr. Mosher- Yes, Mr. Cestari, Mr.
Coutinho-Yes, Mr. Palleiko-Yes, Mr. Herr-Yes. VOTE to Approve: Yes-5, No-0.
The Chair entertained a motion to exit executive session and reconvene in public session.
MOVED – Mr. Herr SECONDED – Mr. Coutinho ROLL CALL: Mr. Mosher- Yes, Mr. Cestari,
Mr. Coutinho-Yes, Mr. Palleiko-Yes, Mr. Herr-Yes. VOTE to Approve: Yes-5, No-0. The Board
adjourned at 8:50 PM.
