“Keep Leesburg Beautiful” Annual Community Clean Up and
Beautification Campaign Starts Today
Leesburg, VA (April 1, 2014) – The Town of
Leesburg’s 10th annual “Keep Leesburg
Beautiful” community clean-up and
beautification campaign begins today and
will run the entire month of April.
Residents, neighborhood and community
groups, and businesses are encouraged to
participate in Keep Leesburg Beautiful by
forming teams to collect litter, clean up
stream areas, replant landscaped areas along the Town’s rights-of-way or participate in other
clean-up and beautification projects. These activities can occur at any time during the month of
April. Groups and individuals interested in participating should visit the Town of Leesburg
website at www.leesburgva.gov/KLB for details about how to volunteer and suggestions for
litter collection, stream clean-up and other project locations. The Town of Leesburg will provide
safety vests, gloves and trash bags for litter collection projects.
As an added bonus this year, each registered Keep Leesburg Beautiful volunteer will receive a
free one-day pass to Ida Lee Park Recreation Center! You must register all team members and
submit a project report to the Town to receive your free passes. Volunteers do not need to be
residents of the Town of Leesburg.
