PROCLAMATION
Whereas For many years, Council Member Cheryl Channon has provided guidance and
service to the city; and
Whereas Cheryl's continued interest in ensuring a strong financial foundation for the City
resulted in her working tirelessly on assembling and managing the City of
Riverdale's budget year in and year out; and
Whereas Cheryl's work with the State of Iowa's auditor's office has steadily improved the
City of Riverdale's evaluations year after year; and
Whereas Council Member Channon has elected not to run for re-election and bring her
time of service to a close; then
Therefore be it resolved that I, Michael Bawden, Mayor of the City of Riverdale, do thank
Council Member Cheryl Channon for her dedication, initiative and service to the
City of Riverdale and do hereby proclaim today, December 10, 2019 as
Cheryl Channon Appreciation Day
in Riverdale, Iowa
