ORDINANCE NO. 1487
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 1418, SECTION 4-8.9c OF CHAPTER 4 OF THE
L`YN`vVOOD MUNICIPAL CODE REG-ULATIN v THE SALE OF
PERSONAL PROPERTY IN RESIDENTIAL ZONES
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF F LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY F1ND
AND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Subsection 4-8.9c-8.9c of Chapter 4 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is
amended to read as follows
(c) Limitation on Issuance of Special Permits
No person may conduct a sale of personal property in a residential zone, nor may
the License collector issue a special permit for that sale is proposed to be conducted
during the weekend of a calendar quarter designated as follows:
CALENDAR QUARTER DESIGNATED WEEKEND
January-March First weekend in March
April-June First weekend in June
July-September First weekend in September
October-December First weekend in December
The word "weekend," as used in this paragraph, means a Saturday and a Sunday, both of
which fall within the same calendar month
SECTION 2 The City Clerk is directed to certify to the passage and adoption of
this ordinance and to causes to be published or posted as required by law.
First read at a regular meeting on the 20th day of October, 1998, and adopted on
the 20th day of October, 1998.
