November 20, 2002 —Minutes
A meeting of the Site Plan Review Committee was called to order at 10:00 a.m. on November 20, 2002 in Meeting
Room A, Orleans Town Hall.
Departments Present: Bob Bersin(Highway); Bob Canning (Health); Bill Quinn(Fire); Brian Harrison
(Building); Chuck Medchill(Water); George Meservey(Planning); Al Brodeur(Planning); Jennifer Wood
(Conservation).
INFORMAL REVIEW: Meditrina Day Spa—204 Main Street
Jennifer Enos (applicant) explained that she plans a change of use of 204 Main Street to a day spa which will
include facials, body waxing, massage, and body treatments. There will be 3 separate rooms, one of which will
need a sink. Enos stated that there is 650 sq. ft for commercial use.
Comments:
Fire: Require two fire extinguishers. Must maintain the current fire alarm system in building.
Water: No water department concerns.
Health: Need information in writing on the projected water usage. Need information for the
proposed steam tents. Must be licensed under the Board of Health regulations for the
massage therapy. There is a concern about the septic system regarding the change of use.
Highway: No highway issues. There is plenty of parking in rear.
Conservation: No wetland issues.
Building: Proposed signs need to go through Architectural Review Committee. Need a sign permit
from the Building Department. Need a building permit for any interior changes.
Planning: Existing exterior lighting to remain.
MOTION: On a motion by Brian Harrison, seconded by Bill Quinn, the Board voted to waive the formal
review.
VOTE: 7-0-0 The vote was unanimous.
Approval of Minutes of November 6, 2002
MOTION: On a motion by Bill Quinn, seconded by Chuck Medchill, the Board voted to approve the
minutes of November 6, 2002.
VOTE: 7-0-0 The vote was unanimous.
