A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD APPROVING
THE HAZARDS MITIGATION PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Lynwood is a public body, corporate and politic,
established as a General law City and is governed by an elected body of five council
~" members; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) enacted
the Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000 requiring all local governments to adopt a Natural
Hazards Mitigation Plan;
WHEREAS, the Lynwood City Council carefully considered all oral and written
testimony offered at the public hearing.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Lynwood
hereby finds, orders and resolves as follows:
Section 1. The City Council of the City of Lynwood, based upon the
aforementioned findings and determinations, hereby approves the Lynwood Natural
Hazards Mitigation Plan, dated October 7, 2008, presented to the City Council at its
October 7, 2008 meeting, and on file with the Office of the Director of Development
Services Department.
Section 2. That this Resolution becomes effective upon adoption.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of October 2008.
