Donna Deetz seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously Approval of Minutes Doug Record moved the minutes from the August 14, 2018, Regular Meeting is approved as printed. Donna Deetz seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. Communication Received Jayme Abbott stated no communications have been received. New Business a. Demolition Clearance Application for 207 Chestnut Jayme Abbott began staff report by stating that all of the properties up for review have already gone through the 106 Review process in late 2017. These properties will be demolished in cooperation with Habitat for Humanity in order to construct new housing for income eligible families. Ms. Abbott continued with the staff report for 207 Chestnut St. describing its location on the MidMOGIS map and stating that it has suffered a fire burn. Its location in reference to the Capital Avenue Historic District was described as well its inclusion in the Historic East Architectural Survey from 1991. Donna Deetz moved to approve the Demolition Clearance Application for 207 Chestnut St. Steve Hoffman seconded. Motion passed unanimously. b. Demolition Review Application for 1120 Madeline PI Jayme Abbott began by reiterating that both properties will be demolished using Federal CDBG funds in order to make way for Habitat for Humanity to build a single family residence for an income eligible family. 1120 Madeline suffered extensive fire damage in 2016 and was subsequently obtained by River City Habitat for Humanity. 1120 Madeline was constructed in approximately 1920 and does fall under review due to its age. Jane Moore moved to approve the Demolition Review Application for 1120 Madeline PI. Steve Hoffman seconded. Motion passed unanimously. c. Demolition Review Application for 803 Montana St Jayme Abbott began by reiterating that both properties will be demolished using Federal CDBG funds in order to make way for Habitat for Humanity to build a single family residence for an income eligible family. 1120 Madeline suffered extensive fire damage in 2016 and was subsequently obtained by River City Habitat for Humanity. 1120 Madeline was constructed in approximately 1920 and does fall under review due to its age. 803 Montana St. is located close to Washington Park and was constructed in 1940. During the Environmental Review the Osage Indian Tribe requested a Phase I Cultural Resources Survey. This Survey did not yield anything significant and the 106 Review was completed. Jane Moore moved to approve the Demolition Review Application for 803 Montana St. Steve Hoffman seconded. Motion passed unanimously. Other Business Jayme Abbott provided an update on the School Street Local Historic District application. This was taken off the informal calendar by Laura Ward and was voted on and passed by City Council. The city's website has been updated to reflect that we do have a new Local Historic District. Staff has communicated with Quinn Chapel concerning the process for applying to be included in an established local historic district. To date, they have not applied. Jayme Abbott also reminded the commission that the City has been awarded a grant from Department of Natural Resources to establish a Preservation Plan for the City and to complete an architectural survey of the West Main area both to be completed by a third party consultant. Applications for demolition of two residential structures located at 312 and 314 Case Ave NATURE OF REQUEST The purpose of the request is to demolish two single family residential structures located at 312 and 314 Case Ave. According to IVidMOGIS the structures located at 312 and 314 Case Ave were constructed in 1920. This property is owned by Capital Region Medical Center and the adopted Historic Southside/Old Munichburq District & Neighborhood Plan identifies the redeveloped land use for these areas as institutional.
