Minutes
The Hopkinton Board of Library Trustees met at the Town Hall on Thursday,
January 15,2015. The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. The library Director,
Rownak Hussain.jon Belger, Susan Porter, Stan Pulnik, Mike McNamara and June
Harris were in attendance.
Rownak came prepared with an outline of upcoming events at the Library and
meetings. We reviewed Rownak's outline which addressed the 120th Birthday
celebration plan, a time line for the library starting in 1867, a display from the
Historical Society, the High School Band and special invitations which will be going
out to special patrons, former trustees, volunteers and other board and committee
member.
Rownak also updated the Board on recent architectural revisions to the new library
plan, particularly the entrance and addition of a third floor. There was also discussion
.. ,?- regarding an investment in a security system and other upgraded technology such as
radio frequency identification.
The Library Director presented an update on temporary relocation efforts.
Mike McNamara reported on additional fuadraising efforts and he recent attendance
at the Foundation meeting.
A motion was made to approve the December minutes. The motion was seconded
and the minutes were voted approved.
All agenda items having been discussed, a motion was made and seconded to adjourn.
