Call to Order
Chair Telman called the School Committee meeting to order at 7:37 p.m.
Chair Dixon called the meeting to order at 7:37 p.m.
Others present: Applicants for the 10 month position vacated by Jennifer Rabold:
Bob Miller, Don Schober,Jessica Larsen, and Marie Eochty
Applicants were asked to address the boards with a brief synopsis of the reasons they are seeking a seat on the Brewster
School Committee as well as their qualifications for the position. Letters of interest and resumes are included in the
minutes.
Applicants were asked questions regarding challenges facing the schools and whether or not to accept the Massachusetts
School Building Authority funding if offered for the roof project at the Eddy School.
Chair Telman and Chair Dixon discussed the procedure as to how to proceed with choosing the applicant who would fill
the seat on the school committee. Discussion ensued and it was determined that the boards would use a paper method to
vote for the applicant.
On a motion by Peter Norton, seconded by Pat Hughes,it was moved that the School Committee indicate their vote and
then the Board of Selectmen indicate their vote. This motion was withdrawn. It was the consensus of both boards to vote
at the same time and see if there was a clear winner. If there was not,a vote of the two top applicants would be taken.
LSelectmen Dixon and Chair Telman thanked the well qualified applicants for attending the meeting and showing their
interest in the vacant seat on the School Committee.
Members then took the first vote to see if there would be a majority.

Dave Telman—Marie Enochty
The vote was 8 in favor of Marie Enochty and 1 in favor of Bob Miller,hence,Marie Enochty was appointed to the vacant
10 month position on the Brewster Elementary School Committee.

On a motion by Peter Norton, seconded by Pat Hughes, it was voted unanimously,5-0,to adjourn the Board of S lectmen
meeting at 8:34 p.m.
