DECLARATION AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC NUISANCE
AND ORDER TO ABATE
Re: 1720 W MAIN ST(PID:1001010003001040)
To Whom It May Concern:
Please be advised the property located at 1720 W MAIN ST Jefferson City, Missouri is in violation of"21-
2A Noxious weeds and other rank vegetation over twelve (12) inches in height". You are shown as the
owner of record of this property. This letter serves as your notice of violation and demand for corrective
action. This violation must be corrected by 9/27/2018. The corrective action necessary to remedy the
violation is to cut all vegetation ( grass, weeds and other vegetation) on this property in a legal manner.
Failure to correct the violation within the time prescribed above will cause the City of Jefferson to seek
remedies that may include:
• Abatement of the violation with the cost of abatement with a $250 administration fee being
assessed against your property as a tax lien.
• Issuing a summons for you to appear in Municipal Court. The Municipal Court has the power to
fine not to excess of$500, assess Court Costs and impose jail sentences not to exceed 90 days.
• Or both of the above.
If you desire a hearing to dispute these findings you must make a request for a hearing within 24 hours of
corrected by date.A hearing will be granted only upon timely request. A request for hearing must be
made in writing and received by this office before deadline. Hearing request form may be downloaded
from www.jeffersoncitymo.gov/government/property_maintenance/hearing_requests.php.
If you have completed the work listed above; please disregard this notice and accept the thanks of the
