ORDINANCE NO. 1458
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF LYNWOOD AMENDING CHAPTER
25 OF THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE TO
ADD SMALL APPLIANCE REPAIR AND SALES,
MINOR AUTOMOTIVE REPAIR (RACK AND
PINION REBUILDING, AND MOTORCYCLE
REPAIR AS PERMITTED USES IN THE C-3
(HEAVY COMMERCIAL) ZONE.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Chapter 25 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is hereby amended as follows:
(i) Section 25-10 of the Lynwood Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
ti-10 C-3 HEAVY COMMERCIAL ZONE.
25-10.1 Use.
No building or land shall be used or occupied or no building shall be erected, constructed, established,
altered, enlarged, moved into or within a C-3 Zone which is to be used or occupied for any purpose other than
as follows:
a. Any use permitted in a C-2A Zone
b. Equipment rental yard
c. Wholesale business, storage buildings, and warehouses.
d. Any ocher retail or service uses determined by the Planning Commission to be of the same or
similar character as the above uses.
e. The following uses when conducted wholly within a buildine nr within an area enclosed on all
sides with a solid wall, or uniformly painted board fence not less than six (6) feet in height.
L Building material storage yard (provided there arc no overhead bunkers used).
2. Feed and fuel yard.
3. Small appliance repair and sales -including vacuum cleaners and refrigerators.
4. New motor cycle sales and ancillary repair operations not to exceed ]0% of building area.
5. Public utility service yard or electric receiving or transforming station.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and to
cause it to be published or posted as required by law.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council held on [he 1st day of July, 1997 and adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting oC said Council held on the 15tHay of JUIy 1997.
