COUNCIL “PRE-MEETING” WORK SESSION, OCTOBER 1, 2018
CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Carrie Tergin called the October 1, 2018 City Council “Pre-Meeting” to order at
5:48 P.M. to review the agenda.
ATTENDANCE
The following Council Members were present when the meeting convened:
Present: Fitzwater, Graham, Hussey, Kemna, Mihalevich, Prather, and Ward
Absent: Hensley, Schreiber, and Wiseman
A quorum was present.
DISCUSSION OF AGENDA ITEMS
Adoption of the Agenda
- Mayor Tergin will ask for a motion to amend the agenda to add three
Miscellaneous Items, 4(a.), 4(b.), and 4(c.) to the agenda (listed below).
Miscellaneous Agenda Items
a. Mayor Tergin will present the Buckle Up Phone Down Day Proclamation.
b. Presentation of the Mayor’s Cup to the winner of the Mayor’s Cup Sailboat
Race, Jim Crabtree.
c. Mayor Tergin will introduce her family, including those visiting from
Greece.
Public Hearings
- Eric Barron, Planning Manager will present Bill 2018-054.
- Councilwoman Ward will abstain from voting on the Bill. She owns property in
the proposed rezoning area.
Consent Agenda
- Item C: Permissive Use Right-of-Way for ADA Ramp and Railing in Front of
the Property Addressed as 131 East High Street. Matt Morasch, Director of
Public Works, will inform Councilmembers that property owners adjacent to
131 East High Street have been notified of the proposal and have no
concerns.

Bills Introduced
- Mayor Tergin asked Councilmembers if they had any questions on the
introduced bills. There were no questions.
Bills Pending
- Sonny Sanders, Director of Planning and Protective Services will present
Substitute Bill 2018-045. He indicated that the Board of Realtors has been
informed of the Substitute Bill, and is in support of the Bill.
- Mr. Morasch will present Bills 2018-051 and 2018-053.
Councilwoman Wiseman arrived at the meeting at 5:54 P.M.
Informal Calendar
- Councilman Fitzwater, sponsor of Bills 2018-038 thru 2018-042, intends to
leave the bills on the Informal Calendar where they will expire after tonight’s
meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 5:56 P.M.
