ORDINANCE NO. 1470
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD RESCIND-
ING URGENCY ORDINANCE NO. 1460, AS AMENDED
BY ORDINANCE N0. 1463, WHICH IMPOSED A MORA-
TORIUM ON THE ESTABLISHMENT OR EXPANSION OF
CERTAIN AUTOMOTIVE USES WITHIN ALL LAND USE
ZONES OF THE CITY
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES FIND AND
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Actions have been taken by the City to
minimize the impact of the conditions which led to the adoption of
Ordinance No. 1460 as amended by Ordinance 1463 imposing a
moratorium on new or expanded automotive uses in the City. These
actions included adoption of additional Zoning Ordinance controls
and restriction on automotive uses, imposition of a moratorium on
new or expanded automotive uses for 2 1/2 years, and a coordinated
code enforcement program on major arterial streets.
Section 2. These actions have significantly reduced
the number and impact of automotive uses in the City to a level
where they no longer constitute a current and immediate threat to
the public health, welfare and safety. Therefore a moratorium on
automotive uses is no longer required.
Section 3. Ordinance No. 1460, as amended by Ordinance
No. 1463 is hereby repealed and shall be of no further force and
effect.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 6th day of January,
