AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF LYNWOOD REPEALING ORDINANCE
NO. 1465 RELATING TO AN EMERGENCY
PREPAREDNESS COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the Emergency Preparedness Commission was previously
established by the City Council by the adoption of Ordinance No. 1465; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to repeal Ordinance No. 1465 in order that
the duties currently delegated to the Emergency Preparedness Commission may be
delegated to other boards or commissions by the City Council.
THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
ection 1: Ordinance No. 1465 is repealed and Section 2-22C of the Lynwood
Municipal Code is hereby deleted. Upon the effective date of this ordinance, the
Emergency Preparedness Commission shall cease to exist.
ection 2: If any section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance is held invalid, suchdecision shall not affect the validity of the
remaining portions of this ordinance. The City Council hereby declares that it would
have passed each section, subsection, subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase
of this ordinance irrespective of the fact that any one or more section, subsection,
subdivision, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase be declared invalid.

ection 3: This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30) days after its final passage
and within fifteen (15) days after its passage, the City Clerk shall cause it to be published
in a local newspaper of general circulation in the City of Lynwood and hereby designated
for that purpose.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Lynwood at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of January , 1998.
