OF CHAPTER 25 OF THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE TO ELIMINATE THE 500 FOOT DISTANCE RESTRIC`PION ON THE SALE OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES BY BUSINESSES LOCATED 1N THE PCD(PLANNED COMMERCIAL DEVELOPMENT)ZONE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD DOES HEREBY FIND AND ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City of Lynwood wishes to encourage a variety of commercial development within i.ts large scale planned commercial development (PCD) zones. Current ordinance provisions would preclude businesses such as bone fide restaurants, supermarkets and drug stores within PCD zones from selling alcoholic beverages if they were within 500 feet of any business located outside the zone that sold alcoholic beverages for on sit or off site consumption. Such prohibitions act to discourage supermarkets, restaurants and similar uses from locating with the PCD zone. This ordinance has been revised to include these suggestions.
