Call to Order
Art Hernandez called the meeting to order at 6:05 p.m.
Approval of Agenda
Bill Case moved the agenda be approved as printed. Jane Moore seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Approval of Minutes
Jane Moore moved the minutes from the July 11, 2017 Regular Meeting be accepted. Bill Case
seconded. Motion passed.
New Business
Jayme Abbott announced that Bill Gerling was resigning from the commission because he was moving
outside of City limits. Council approved a new member, Nathan Percy, during the August 7, 2017
meeting. Mr. Percy meets the educational requirements set forth in the Certified Local Government
program.
Other Business
a. Jayme Abbott announced that she will be attending the SHPO HPF grant workshop to be held on
August 11, 2017. City is looking at submitting two separate applications 1) preservation plan
and 2) survey.
b. Eric Barron provided an update on the historic district & demolition ordinance. Eric explained
that the primary focus is to complete the demolition ordinance work before diving into the
historic district research. Staff is to be providing monthly update to the Public Works & Planning
Committee.
