It was moved and seconded, passed unanimously to approve the minutes of the August 11th
2004 meeting as written. (no meeting was held in September, October or November.)
Staff Reports:
Dan Pillard reported:
• Staff has completed the removal of 30 dead and hazard trees.
• Tee rebuilding projects completed on #7 aspen and #9 aspen.
• A large spruce tree was planted near #7 tee for protection.
• The re -shaping of the left green on #6 aspen was completed.
• Staff completed installing sod over a large area left of #4 birch green.
Allan Morrison reported: all tournaments will be grandfathered into next season during the
same respective weekends.
The cross-country ski trails are now in the process of being groomed with the help of staff
and a new snow machine was purchased.
New Business:
Dan Pillard provided a copy of the rate structure used to prepare the city budget. (see
attachment) the committee discussed the increased rates and the consensus was that the
season pass rate was too high as well as trail fees.
Old Business:
Dan Pillard reported the completion of drainage lines on #9 cedar, #3 cedar in the landing
area, and on 8 cedar tee. Additional drainage was installed during the tee construction on
#7 and #9 aspen.
Dari McKim mentioned #6 green receives a lot of abuse from golf carts parking close to the
green and from cross-country skiers.
Bob Giles mentioned we will check on nomination of a new chairman next meeting as well as
a final discussion of the 2005 season rates.
