ORDINANCE NO. 1339
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ADDING SECTION 3-18
TO THE LYNWOOD MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
SALE TO MINORS
The City Council of the City of Lynwood does ordain as
follows: o
Section 1. Section 3-18 is hereby added to the Lynwood
Municipal Code read as follows:
3-18 SALES TO MINORS
a. It is unlawful for any person, except a
parent or legal guardian to sell or give
or in any way furnish to another person
who is under the age of 18 years, any of
the following without first obtaining
bona fide evidence of majority and
indentity:
1. A felt-tip pen capable of defacing property;
2. An implement for cuting glass;
3. A spring-loaded center punch.
b. For purposes of this section, "bona fide
evience of majority and identity" is any
document evidencing the age and identity
of an individual, which has ben issued
by a federal, state or local
governmental entity.
c. It is unlawful for any person under
the age of 18 to purchase any of
the items listed in subparagraph a.
Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this ordinance and cause the same to be published
in the manner prescribed by law.
