AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD,.
CALIFORNIA, ADDING SECTION 317.7 TO THE LYNWOOD
MUNI ANDA P036Ed IAON OF REPLICA FZREAR?:Sr SALE
WHEREAS, the sale and possession of replica firearns
has proliferated in recent years in this community, and
WHEREAS, such replica firearms cannot be
distinguished Yron setual firearms, and
WHEREAS, when such replica firearms are perceiveA as
actual firearms, Lear and dangerous defensive actions result,
and
WHEREAS, the public safety is endangered by the
manufacture and sale of replica firearms, and
1PHEREAS, state law currently prohibits only the
brandishing of such replica firearms,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LYNWOOD, CALIFORNIA,
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1: Chapter 3 0! the Lynwood DSunicipal Code
is hereby amended by adding a new Section 3-17.7 to read as
follows:
7-17.7 REPLICA FIREARMS - MANUFACTURE AND SALE PROHIBITED.
a. Except as provided in subdivision (D) of this

that it would have adopted this Code and each

or portion thereol, irresppootive of the tact
that any one or more saotions, sub-sections,
sentences, phrases or portions be declared
invalid or unconstitutional.
BSCTION 2: The City Clerk shall oertily to the
passage of this ordinance and shall cause same Lo be published
once in the Lynwood Press within fifteen days alter its
passage.
