AmeriCorps Representative: Bethany Reynolds Minutes of November 15,2013 meeting were approved. AmeriCorps project update: Recreation Department is looking into making Freeman's Fields accessible. White Cap's BallMeld-Claire and Ryan will meet on Wednesday,January 22nd at 2pm to make plans for improvements. The bathroom path needs to be marked better. COA Building-installation of a ramp off front portico;COA to price out automatic doors (,Community Garden-Ryan to connect with Meryl Gartside to discuss the potential of raised, ,handicap accessible garden beds. Ryan will also go to Dennisport's Seaview Park to look at their raised garden beds. Eagle Point/Run Hill Road-possibility of a Braille trail Other possible projects-Senior Housing repairs and/or painting,Benches,Drummer Boy Playground, Huckleberry Housing Playground,and golf course accessibility Paine's Creek-More damage was done by the January 3rd winter snow storm. Bob Bersin is getting a quote for a mat that would extend to a T,with benches overlooking the bay. j Quivett Marsh-Committee members need to visit the site to get a better understanding of a viewing deck for handicap accessibility Long Pond-Project for 2015- 2 handicap parking spaces with a platform with access into the water. Mant's Beach-Project for 2014- 2 handicap parking spaces with a platform with access into the water. Linnell Beach-Project for 2014-boardwalk with bench Slough Pond-Chris and Ryan have approval to install a handrail on the left side All projects need to take into consideration of whom and how we will maintain these projects. AmeriCorps"All Access Day"will be Sunday,April 6th at the Brewster Senior Center beginning at 10am. There will be different vendors presenting their accessibility and mobility items. Denise will find a volunteer to man the Medical Shed in the side yard to show the public items that can be borrowed: beach wheelchairs,wheelchairs,commodes,crutches and canes,walkers and grab bars, along with 2 ramps. Judy mentioned that it would be good if the golf course would allow us to display the handicap accessible golf cart. There was also a discussion about printing brochures to hand out at Brewster in Bloom Weekend and to display at the Visitor's Center regarding accessibility in Brewster. Beautify Brewster Day is scheduled for Saturday,April 26th with the appreciation luncheon to be held at the Eddy School.
