Minutes of the meeting on March 28, 2014
Brewster Council on Aging 2 pm
Present at the meeting were: Claire Gradone,Judy Miller, Roberta Murphy,and Denise Rego,all
committee members; Chris Miller, Natural Resources; and Bob Bersin, DPW.
Absent: John Dickson, Selectman liaison
Meeting was called to order at 2:04pm.
Minutes of February 21, 2014 meeting were approved
All Access Fair-All Access Fair will be held on Sunday,April 6 from 1 to 4pm at the Brewster
Senior Center. Americorp personnel is in charge of this fair. Claire will man the "All Citizen's
Access"table for 1/2 of the time and is looking for another board member to man the other 1.
Denise will set up a tri-panel poster board with information such as:
Mission statement
COA's medical shed inventory
Beachwheelchair information
List of projects that the committee has done in the past
Map of Brewster with accessibility information
Chamber's list of accessible restaurants,ponds and beaches
Town Reports
Denise will have a volunteer clean the shed the week before the fair so it is presentable to the
public. Denise will try to assign a volunteer to man the medical shed and display the equipment in
and around the building. If she can not find someone,she will let Chris Miller know and he will find
a volunteer. If necessary, Denise will give Chris a key to the shed.
Meals (breakfast and lunch) will be set up for the Americorp staff and all its volunteers at the
Drummer Boy Park the week of April ?-11. If interested in donating food,please contact Chris.
Bob Bersin indicated that the Linnell Beach boardwalk project will be completed soon.
Judy asked if we could schedule the May meeting for 3pm. Everyone agreed that it would work for
them. We do not meet in the months of June,July,August&September.
Meeting was adjourned at 2:40pm.
Our next meeting will be Friday,April 18, 2014 at 2pm.
