ORDINANCE N0. 1278
AN ORDINANCE OF TI-IE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF LYNPIOOD RELATING
TO FEES FOF. P012TUNETELLING
WHEREAS, it is appropriate at this time to fix the
business license fee payable for fortunetelling and. related
business under Lynwood City Code Section 17-57(S);
NOW, THF,REFORE, THF.. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
LYN~iV00D HEREBY DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The amount to be charged pursuant to
Lynwood Munrcrpal Code Section 17-57(S) is hereby amended.
The fee to be charged shall be Five Hundred Dollars ($500).
Section 2. If any. section, subsection, subdivision,
sentence, clause, phrase, or'iportion of this ordinance, or the
application thereof to any person or place, is for any reason
held to be invalid or unconstitutional by the decision of any
court o:t competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not
affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance
or its application to other persons or places. The City Council
hereby declares that it would have adopted this ordinance, and
each section, subsection, subdivision, sentence, clause, phrase,
or portion thereof, irrespective of the .fact that one or more
sections, subsections, subdivisions, sentences, clauses,
phrases, or portions, or the application thereof to any person
or place, be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
Section 3. All other ordinances in conflict here-
with are here y repealed to the extent of any inconsistency.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby ordered and
directed too cert~~ to the passage of this ordinance and to
cause same to be published once in the Lynwood Press, a news-
paper o.f: general circulation, printed, published, and circu-
lated in the City of Lynwood
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City held on the .2nd day of Se tember, 1986, and
finally ordered published at a regular meeting o said Council
held on the 16th day of September 1986.
