New Exhibit of Photographs by Steve Edgar Opens at Leesburg
Town Exhibit Hall on Friday, June 6, 2014
Leesburg, VA (May 30, 2014) – A new
exhibit of photographs by Steve Edgar will
open at the Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall on
Friday, June 6, 2014. An artist’s reception
will take place that evening from 6pm to
8pm.
Born and raised in Boston, Steve Edgar
has lived in Northern Virginia for 35 years.
A noted Washington D.C. musician and
songwriter, Steve has played in some of
the area’s most popular bands.
Photography is his passion, and he has
focused his lens on old, abandoned, discarded America. He looks for mood and tone in his
photography, and is constantly experimenting with different techniques to take the viewer
deeper into the piece. Just as with his music, Steve finds the work a constant learning
experience with infinite possibilities.
Steve’s photographs will be on display at the Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall until August 31, 2014.
The Leesburg Town Exhibit Hall was established by the Leesburg Commission on Public Art in
December 2009 to provide a public venue for local artists to display their work. Artists
interested in having their work considered for a future exhibit should contact Jeanette Irby, the
staff liaison to the Leesburg Commission on Public Art, at 703-737-7175 or
jirby@leesburgva.gov.
