BUD Program –Enroll and train participants in sewer related occupations. –Conduct targeted outreach to unemployed/under employed. –Concerted and focused efforts on mentoring and retention. –Introduce high school juniors and seniors to career opportunities in sewer related construction. –Conduct 4 Cycles of BUD lite programming with areas high schools and youth servicing agencies. 9 Education and Internships SIUE Environmental Resource Training Center for Treatment Plant Operators –MSD awarded 2 full ride scholarships for 20/21 school year »1 Minority Male »1 Female –Scholarship recipients will begin Treatment Plant Internships in May, 2021 –MSD will sponsor 2 scholarships for 21/22 school year and have begun recruitment for eligible candidates 2020 Summer Interns •1 Information Technology •2 Asset Management 10 Disparity Study Update 11 Remaining Disparity Study Timeline •Analysis completed by 4/30/2021 •Draft of final Disparity Study Update by 5/31/2021 •MSD provide comments on draft by 6/12/2021 •Issue final Disparity Study Reports 7/1/2021 Disparity Study Results •Present results to MSD Board of Trustees •Begin campaign to communicate results to Staff, Stakeholders and Public •Generate Disparity Study Implementation Plan Thank You
