Leesburg Named One of Virginia’s Friendliest Towns in Virginia
Living’s Annual “Best of Virginia” Reader Survey
Leesburg, VA (June 3, 2014) – The Town of
Leesburg was recently recognized as one of the
Commonwealth’s “Friendliest Towns” in
Virginia Living magazine’s annual readers’
survey. Virginia Living’s 2014 Best of Virginia
travel issue hit newsstands last month.
“We are very honored, but not surprised, to
receive this great recognition from Virginia
Living’s readers,” said Kristen Umstattd, Mayor of Leesburg. “Our residents and businesses are
some of the nicest people you’ll find anywhere in the country and we are very proud of them.
Leesburg is a fun place to visit. Please come visit and find out why!”
In addition to the Town of Leesburg being named the second friendliest town in Northern
Virginia (behind Warrenton), a number of Leesburg businesses were also among the 2014 “Best
of Virginia” honorees in Northern Virginia.
• Melt Gourmet Cheeseburgers was named Best Burger Joint.
• Ketterman’s Jewelers was named Best Fine Jewelry Store.
• DunlapWeaver PLLC was named Best Law Firm.
Leesburg businesses receiving second or third place mentions include Cobb Village 12 Cinemas,
LA Fitness, CycleLuv, Mom’s Apple Pie, MacDowell Brew Kitchen, Leesburg Vintner, ProJet
Aviation, J&L Interiors, Graham Law Firm and Old Mill Kennel.
